I respect your privacy and aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, WordPress automatically collects:
- the data you enter in the comment form
- your IP address
- your browser user-agent string
This helps detect spam and prevent abuse.
Your IP is anonymized whenever possible, and I do not personally use or view this data.
Media
If you upload images, avoid uploading photos containing EXIF GPS location data.
Other visitors could extract this information if it is present.
I do not inspect or use metadata in uploaded files.
Cookies
WordPress sets several cookies to make the website work properly:
Comment cookies
If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies.
These last for 1 year and are purely for convenience.
Login cookies
If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie checks whether your browser accepts cookies.
It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close the browser.
If you log in:
- login cookies last 2 days (or 2 weeks with “Remember Me”)
- screen preference cookies last 1 year
These cookies are only used by WordPress. I cannot see their contents.
Editor cookies
If you edit or publish a post, a cookie storing the post ID is saved.
It contains no personal data and expires after 1 day.
Embedded Content From Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., YouTube videos, images, or external articles).
Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the external website itself.
These sites may:
- collect data about you
- use cookies
- track your interaction with their content (especially if you are logged into those services)
I have no control over third-party websites.
Who We Share Your Data With
I do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
The only external service that may process data is:
- Spam detection services (e.g., Akismet), which check comments for spam.
If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email.
This is handled automatically by WordPress.
How Long We Retain Your Data
Comments
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely.
This helps automatically approve future comments.
User Accounts
If you register an account (if registration is enabled), your personal data is stored in your user profile.
You can view, edit, or delete your data at any time (except your username).
Website administrators can also view and edit this information.
Your Rights Over Your Data
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request:
- an exported file of all personal data stored about you
- deletion of any personal data we hold
This does not include data that must be kept for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be analyzed by an automated spam detection service.
Server logs may temporarily store anonymized technical data such as IP addresses or browser type.
